Mrs. Daugherty's SMART goals for 2022-2023 school year
Mt. Vernon RV school District has a Comprehensive School Improvement Plan currently in place. In this plan, the following goals are to be worked toward:

1. Develop and enhance quality educational/instructional programs to improve performance and enable students to meet their personal, academic, and career goals.
2. Provide and maintain appropriate instructional resources, support services and functional and safe facilities.
3. Promote, facilitate, and enhance parent, student and community involvement in LEA/District Educational Programs to create a climate of success in each building and across the district.
4. Govern the LEA/District in an efficient and effective manner providing administrative leadership to maintain a climate of excellence throughout the district.
5. Recruit, attract, develop, and retain properly certified staff to carry out the District’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
Based on data from the needs assessment taken by the students at the end of the 2021-2022 school year and using vertical alignment with the Mt. Vernon RV School District's Comprehensive Improvement Plan, I have compiled 2 SMART goals to work toward during the 2022-2023 school year with the expectation of meeting these goals by the end of the school year.
By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, we will reduce absenteeism of at-risk students by 25% (during the 2021-2022 school year) through providing targeted group interventions.
*This SMART goals support the needs of the students in our elementary building because the data from the needs assessment showed an increase in absenteeism for many of the student during the 2021-2022 school year.
*This goal also meets the district improvement goal: "Promote, facilitate, and enhance parent, student and community involvement in LEA/District Educational Programs to create a climate of success in each building and across the district" because addressing the level of absenteeism in our at-risk students will create a climate to promote success in our elementary building.

2. By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, the 2nd grade level will increase their knowledge and understanding of coping skills for anxiety by 50% from being unable to state any coping skills related to anxiety to being able to express at least 3 coping skills and put them into practice with 80% accuracy during class participation.

*This SMART goal supports the needs of the students in our elementary building because the data from the needs assessment shown that there was a high number of students struggling with anxiety concerns in our building.
*This goal also meets the district improvement goal: "Develop and enhance quality educational/instructional programs to improve performance and enable students to meet their personal, academic, and career goals" because addressing the need for anxiety reduction strategies will enhance student's ability to perform and meet their individual goals.
